It's been a pretty intense two days - Wednesday especially with classes coming through every session of the day and then a twilight session for governors and RE colleagues. The room is looking great!

Today lots of students came to Prayspace and when asked what they had learnt, stated that they had learnt nothing. They felt like they had somehow missed the point but fortunately Mrs Stothard (Head of RE) was wise enough to tell them that this was more than OK - it didn't make their time in Prayspace a pointless exercise, it was actually kind of the whole point.

I came across this story on the BBC website earlier, in which a luminary from the Publishers' Association claims that the 10.5 million copies of 50 Shades Of Grey sold in 2012 (meaning the three books from the trilogy take spots one, two and three in last year's best seller list) show that publishing is "a healthy industry which continues to grow." It's set against the backdrop of competition from ebooks that could see an end to 'real' books.

Last week being part of  Prayspace was one of the most fulfilling things I have done for a long time.  However, it was also one of the most exhausting and challenging ones!
